Let I=[0,1]I=[0,1] and consider disjoint closed regions G1,....,GnG_{1},....,G_{n} in I×I% I\times I and subintervals I1,......,In,I_{1},......,I_{n}, such that GiG_{i} projects onto Ii.I_{i.} We define the lower and upper maps τ1,\tau_{1}, τ2\tau_{2} by the lower and upper boundaries of Gi,i=1,....,n,G_{i},i=1,....,n, respectively. We assume τ1\tau_{1}, τ2\tau_{2} to be piecewise monotonic and preserving continuous invariant measures μ1\mu_{1} and μ2\mu_{2}, respectively. Let % F^{(1)} and F(2)F^{(2)} be the distribution functions of μ1\mu_{1} and μ2.\mu_{2}. The main results shows that for any convex combination FF of % F^{(1)} and F(2)F^{(2)} we can find a map η\eta with values between the graphs of τ1\tau_{1} and τ2\tau_{2} (that is, a selection) such that FF is the η\eta -invariant distribution function. Examples are presented. We also study the relationship of the dynamics of multi-valued maps to random maps

Pelletizing analysis of cylinder pelletizer on MgO-fluxed pellets by discrete element method (DEM)

    Get PDF
Discrete Element Method (DEM) was used to analyze palletization process of MgO-fluxed pellets in cylinder pelletizer. The effects of the charge ratio and rotational speed of the cylinder pelletizer on the behavior of MgO-fluxed pellets were investigated by using the simulation. The simulation results show that under the condition of a certain gradient angle of the cylinder pelletizer (The gradient angle is 3°), the suitable parameters of the cylinder pelletizer are that the charge ratio is 3 % and the rotational speed N/ critical rotational speed NC is 0,3

Effects of Sowing Date and Phosphorus Fertiliser Application on Winter Survival of Lucerne cv. Aohan in the Northern Semi-Arid Region of China

    Get PDF
In the northern semi-arid region of China, winter survival is always a limiting factor for lucerne production, because low temperatures and a dry climate in winter (Zhou et al., 1993; Ma, 2000; Sun & Gui, 2001; Sun et al., 2003). An experiment was conducted to find an appropriate sowing date and P application rate in order to improve lucerne winter survival

Fast-dissolving core-shell composite microparticles of quercetin fabricated using a coaxial electrospray process

This study reports on novel fast-dissolving core-shell composite microparticles of quercetin fabricated using coaxial electrospraying. A PVC-coated concentric spinneret was developed to conduct the electrospray process. A series of analyses were undertaken to characterize the resultant particles in terms of their morphology, the physical form of their components, and their functional performance. Scanning and transmission electron microscopies revealed that the microparticles had spherical morphologies with clear core-shell structure visible. Differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction verified that the quercetin active ingredient in the core and sucralose and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) excipients in the shell existed in the amorphous state. This is believed to be a result of second-order interactions between the components; these could be observed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. In vitro dissolution and permeation studies showed that the microparticles rapidly released the incorporated quercetin within one minute, and had permeation rates across the sublingual mucosa around 10 times faster than raw quercetin
